Speak to us today for a FREE Consultation.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
During your GentleMax treatment, beams of light energy are directed into the hair follicles. The laser damages the follicle so current hair sheds and future hairs have difficulty growing. The procedure leaves the surrounding skin and tissue untouched, ensuring a comfortable treatment process with no downtime afterward.
Because hair grows in phases, you will require multiple treatment sessions to achieve an optimal outcome. The laser targets hair in the growth phase with each session. You will see a gradual reduction in hair, leaving you with smoother skin and long-lasting results.
The Gold Standard
Here at Dermalase we put our clients at the heart of everything we do. Which is why we have invested into the Candela GentleMAX Pro – The Gold Standard for Medical Graded Laser Hair Removal Treatments. This dual-wavelength system combines the 755nm alexandrite and the 1064nm Nd:YAG lasers into one easy to use system. It allows us to effectively and safely treat all skin types from your lightest fitzpatrick right through to your darkest fitzpatricks.
This device is also suitable for the treatment of pigmentation, vascular lesion, and wrinkle treatments on all skin types. The unique hand-piece allows for us to treat our clients much faster, more comfortably, and more efficiently. All of our lasers feature a unique dynamic cooling device that helps to calm, soothe and protect the skin throughout your treatment.
For your initial course of Laser Hair Removal treatment, we recommend approximately 8-12 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart. However, during your consultation your highly trained Therapist will discuss the best treatment plan for you.
Our Specialist Team
When you book a laser hair removal treatment at Dermalase, you’re booking in with a specialist team. Our laser hair removal specialists are a team of qualified nurses and laser specialists that have completed accredited laser training and are nationally endorsed by the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery for their skills in operating gold standard medical grade lasers.
Your initial consultation is one of the most important steps in the journey towards permanent hair removal, as it gives you the greatest chance of achieving your desired outcome. Our pre-treatment consultation allows your laser hair removal specialist to get to know you, and your skin type. It is also an opportunity for you to discover more about what your treatment will entail.
Once your laser hair removal specialist understands your needs and requirements, they can adjust the treatment to suit. This allows our treatments to be carried out in a safe and effective manner, giving you the long-lasting outcome you’re seeking.

Our friendly team will advise you of your post-care requirements.
